Our Fresh Pork is sourced from Borrowdale on Queensland’s fertile Darling Downs. Borrowdale grow out their pigs to what is deemed a Porker Size, the pork equivalent of yearling beef.
Every time you receive a delivery of Free Range Pork from us, as with all our other products, you will be informed as to whose farm it came.
Unlike traditional retailers we cannot supply you with an unlimited amount of any cut you wish as the way we sell our Pork is solely governed by the fact we are buying whole animals straight off the farm – not carton meat from a wholesaler. Buying this way is all about embracing the philosophy of ‘Nose to Tail’ eating. You then benefit from the fact you know where your meat comes from, that it was ethically treated and that the farmer has been fairly remunerated for their work.
Real Free Range Australian Pork’s flavour is distinctly different to stall or barn raised pork which is mainly what is available at retail. We’re sure you will love it!

Farmer - Borrowdale Free Range Pork
Borrowdale raise their True Free Range Pigs in a stress free environment where the pigs have the freedom to play, truffle and wallow in the mud.
Their pork is tender and has the flavour of a bygone era. Borrowdale say that with their pork, “you will rediscover the real taste of pork,” and we think their right!
Borrowdales pork is; No Moisture Infusion, No Added Hormones, High Welfare & APIQ Certified Free Range. Their Australian owned farm is located near Goondawindi on Queensland’s fertile Darling Downs and is Australian owned by a single family. Their pigs are free to forage on pasture and any supplementary feed is balanced to closely match that of their ancestors.
We also use Borrowdale’s amazingly juicy pork for our Bacon, Ham & Small Goods.
100% Free Range Australian Pork with no moisture infusion and no additives to make the meat last longer etc. = Just Pork!
Only our sausages and pickled pork contain any ingredients as listed below:
Gluten Free Sausage ingredients are; Rice flour, salt, mineral salt (451), preservative 223(sulphite), Dehydrated vegetables, colour (160c), herb and spice extracts, canola oil, flavor, Enhancer (635). These make up our meal which is only added in small amounts to keep the sausages from quickly expiring. We also do not fill our sausages with fillers – which means you are getting a traditional country style meat sausage with a small amount of meal for flavor – not something that barely contains any meat like in the shops!
Pickled Pork curing ingredients are; Mineral Salts 451, 450& 452). Salt, sugar, dextrose, antioxidant (316), Sodium Nitrate(250), Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein (maize) & Vegetable Oil.
